Presentation #1: Robyn Walsh will be talking about her unusual job working at a robotic milking company and being a total bovine nerd

Presentation #2: All About Your Friendly Neighbourhood Reptiles!
Since saving her first garter snake at the age of six from a neighbour’s shovel, Brittany Weatherall has had a passion for reptiles and reptile conservation. Her presentation will focus on dispelling myths about these creatures as well as helping everyone become more involved
in conservation efforts.

Our Artist in Residence for the evening is local nerd champion Kate Cox. Kate is a British born artist, who has made her home in Kitchener for the last 8 years. She has twice been recognised by the region with nominations for Waterloo Regional Arts Awards for her contributions to our creative community. Her work creates dialogue about pop-culture, urban myth and the nature of permanence. She is currently working with members of a top secret arts collective, on illustrations for a map of Kitchener re-imagined which will be released later this year. Kate has also recently opened The Adventurers Guild – a board game cafe on Ontario Street in Downtown Kitchener. You can find more of her work at;www.kategcox.tumblr.com and check out the cafe atwww.adventurersguildcafe.com

The art piece will be raffled off at the end of the night. Raffle tickets are $1 each and all proceeds go to the artist.

Our Host with the Most for the evening is Ryan Consell, 20 question Trivia is by Eric Moon, and the Wizard behind the curtain as always, is Charlotte Armstrong.

You can then hang out and play board games, meet awesome people, and check out our new OCULUS RIFT Developer Kit 2, until the bar closes at midnight.

Also don’t forget to vote for us by September 15 for best Social Profit and Best trivia in Cord Community’s Best of Waterloo Region: http://community.thecord.ca/bestof/

Be there and be square!
